I made an attempt at pulling out a cookbook, taking a list down to the super, and cooking myself a mean by instruction:

It worked!

details details
And since I was the only one eating it I can be the judge, and I consider it a resounding success!

Another movie on its way, to keep an eye on.
Tim Burton’s following up his mixed bag of SWEENY TODD. I personally liked the film. There were a couple of bits and pieces that made me wince, the two young lovers to be specific. But Tim Burton’s newest story is such a perfect fit for his ironic, twisted and sweet storytelling, that the film could be a classic in the vein of EDWARD SCISSOR HANDS.
Alice

Mia Wasikowska
The Mad Hatter:

Johnny Dept
The Caterpiller:

Alan Rickman
Among others such as:
Anne Hathaway
Helena Bonham Carter
& Christopher Lee.
Heres hoping it all goes well.

Just purchased this. well, I actually LAY bought it from the Outré Gallery in Melbourne and Sydney Australia.
Can NOT wait to get my hands on it. It measures 48 x 53cm PLUS the frame. So its a decent size.
AK’s exhibit begins February 13th in Melbourne.

TOKYO! trailer, originally uploaded by echo^∆^.
In TOKYO!, three visionary directors come together for an omnibus triptych examining the nature of one unforgettable city as it’s shaped by the disparate people who live, work (and run amok) inside an enormous, constantly evolving, densely populated Japanese megalopolis — the ravishing and inimitable Tokyo. In the tradition of such films as NEW YORK STORIES, NIGHT ON EARTH, PARIS JE T’AIME and its forthcoming sequel NEW YORK I LOVE YOU, TOKYO! addresses the timeless question of whether we shape cities, or if cities shape us — in the process revealing the rich humanity at the heart of modern urban life.

In cinemas March 6th 2009
Thanks to ilai for heads up.

Phew -
The last couple of days have been swelteringly hot. Apparently, the hottest in 137/138 years.
1871 must have had a good summer.
Thankfully/Dissapointingly the heat has subsided and were back to regular old 23ºC. No more 8:30pm swims. I’m in two minds weather its good that I can now breath outside of my air con protected office, or weather I liked feeling like I was in the Vietcong.
Oh well, it may become a regular thing, with earth toasting up and all. (I kind of hope so…is that bad?)
