Painfully shut down in 2003.

Been on a detox the last 9 days. It was a real struggle on the second day, not being able to just snack on easy, ready to eat food. Bread, rice, tofu and easter eggs were all out of the picture.
Strangely, after the first 4 days, I began to realize that I was feeling much better then usual. ESPECIALLY after cheating on Saturday night and tucking into a tofu pita, my body completely hated it! I felt bloated, greasy and gross.

I miss treating out while I watch DVDs, and I’ll be glad to scoff a whole heap of Japanese fusion tomorrow night – for my birthday dinner ! – but as for daytime biscuits, chips and noondles, Nah! I’m going to try and avoid them.
Tonight I will definitely be having a couple of treats to celebrate officially ending the detox.

I watched two episodes of skins last night that kept me awake for hours, kept my mind re-running over it all the next day.

The begining of Season 2 was a bit flat, but the the last five episodes have been insane. I am utterly crushing on Cassie…and when I think about it, all of the cast. Jal and Cassie’s episodes were eye-wateringly sad. I felt like the inside of my nose disappeared with an awkward, heavy, sadness as Chris went in for his operation. And strangely I felt so in tune with Cassie’s episode.
The whole story was about her battling to find happyness that wouldn’t let her down. But inevitably everywhere she found happyness it all came crashing down. Power, Love, Friendship and Escape* all ended in heartbreak. Kind of a sad truth about life – and what is cool about her is that she is one of few the people who won’t accept that, all the way to the point where it tears them apart.
The story really got to me.
And I have been waiting to watch the finale since then – I think I am going to watch it tonight, with some fruit treats and roast veges *bleh!*
Wish me luck with it – Its so bad when a show you love finishes (Season 3 does not count).

Brand new Wes Anderson film! But this time its animation, cool!
Wes is tackling Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. He’s only planning on changing the beginning and the end, the middle will stay true to the children’s book.

George Clooney, Bill Murray and Josh Shwartzman and Angelica Huston. Pretty much the usual. But I think George Clooney will be very fitting addition to his usual ensemble. Much like Adrian Brody was in Darjeeling Ltd.
