Michael Jackson ~ This Is It ~ Film trailer

Without wanting to feed the frenzy of money-makers who have made every attempt to profit off of the death of Michael Jackson, I would really like to spotlight the release of This Is It. The documentary that was recorded throughout three months of rehearsals for Jackson’s comeback tour.

This Is It will be released by Columbia Pictures for a limited two week season.
The footage of Michael captures him at his most passionate & most candid moments over the months coming up to his death.

Idealistically this could go non-profit. A pay-what-you-will system would be a fantastic gesture to show it’s all about the man, and not the money. Idealistic and unrealistic all at the same time…

Widgets ~ The Essential Mini Apps for Mac

For the majority of Mac users, when their keyboard is well worn and their command key is an indistinguishable white oblong, their dashboard key (the little one with the speedo on it that you’ve been ignoring) is sitting pretty, unused and under-appreciated.

The problem with Mac widgets is their varying quality.
To help you wade through the thousands of widgets out there, I have picked out a handful of widgets that are useful and really pretty to decorate your dashboard with…

Youth In Revolt ~ Trailer

New film staring Michael Cera, Youth in Revolt is story about Nick Twisp and his quest to win the heart of his neighbor Sheeni. Sounds like your standard summer teen flick until you see how he goes about it.

Check out the trailer above. Out October.

The ultimate symbol of magical Japanese animated cinema.

Neon Indian ~ Psycich Chasms

Depending on which edge of the world your sitting on, it may be about to roll you into a global-warming-invigorated summer. Beaches, late nights, beers and BBQs are probably on the menu for most. So I have been keeping an eye out for a soundtrack to match!

Neon Indian is a new project by producer Alan Palomo formally of Ghosthustler. The album Psycich Chasms is great. Its got a dusty, muffled sound, like you have just popped a cassette in your tape deck. The beats go all over the place and still manage to churn out a rhythm that would play perfect in an overgrown backyard in summer.

If your in need of something like this, pick up the album. You won’t regret it.

Eyes of the Animal Kingdom ~ Macro Photography

Incredible.
Animal-Affairs.com have put together a selection of photos looking into the foreign eyes of the animal kingdom. They look so wildly different but at the same time, familiar to our own (with the possible exception of the clam).
