Youth In Revolt ~ Trailer

New film staring Michael Cera, Youth in Revolt is story about Nick Twisp and his quest to win the heart of his neighbor Sheeni. Sounds like your standard summer teen flick until you see how he goes about it.

Check out the trailer above. Out October.

Drag Me to Hell

Saw Sam Rami’s new film this week. It was horrifying. A true classic horror film that wasn’t scared by its own shadow. The movie went back to basics and took a lot of inspiration from 1980s & 90s classic scary movies.

Check out the Trailer. Then grab the DVD, flick off the lights and check out the film.

Spartacus Blood and Sand ~ Trailer

Check the trailer for Spartacus – Blood and Sand; the story of a man’s journey from slave to king. Inspired by graphical novels, Zack Snyder’s 300 and…well, pornography.

I have been working on this show in the Visual Effects Department for the last six months.

It is shaping up to look pretty bad ass! Enjoy the Trailer.

Christopher Nolan’s Inception ~ Trailer

Christopher Nolan of Batman Begins and the ultra incredible The Dark Knight has a new story in the works. Inception is a story similar to the amazing Paprika.

Inception is a thriller set within the architecture of the mind about a CEO who is involved in a blackmailing scandal.

Impressive! They are still shooting in Paris for the film which is due out in July 2010.

James Cameron’s Avatar ~ Trailer

Ok, so the long awaited trailer is finally here. Watch it below via Apple, in heroic, hectic HD goodness.

Its good that the trailer doesn’t play on the mountain of hype the movie already has. It is quite subdued, more of an ominous rolling thunder that hopefully preludes the coming hurricane. I like the look! I may be the only one, but hey, I’m a big fan of neo-futuristic Japanese games.

New York, I Love You ~ Trailer

-
-

A kaleidoscope of the spontaneous, surprising, electrifying human connections that pump the city’s heartbeat. Sexy, funny, haunting and revealing encounters unfold beneath the Manhattan skyline. The story weaves a tale of love as diverse as the very fabric of New York itself.

Wow – Look at the cast on this sucka; Bradley Cooper, Justin Bartha, Andy Garcia, Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, Natalie Portman, Irrfan Khan, Shia  LaBeouf, Ethan Hawke, Orlando Bloom, Blake Lively.

Wait and check out the list of directors too; Jiang Wen, Mira Nair, Shunji Iwai, Yvan Attal, Brett Ratner, Allen Hughes, Shekhar Kapur.

Pretty much the widest array of talent attached to a single film. I cannot wait to check out this collection of stories on the city I am most in love with; New York, New York.

Where the Wild Things Are ~ brand new trailer.

Here is the brand spanking new trailer for Where the Wild Things Are.
I am rather disappointed to hear about the re-shoot and edit to make the film less scary and more family-friendly. Who did they think they were aiming this film at? Directed by Spike Jonze, one of the most haunting children’s book, trailer’s scored by Arcade Fire.

They seem to be hitting straight to the heart of an audience that they are not aiming for. Me!

I re-read the book today. Took all of two minutes, but it still scares me a little. I think it’s the fact that the monsters are so wild that, even though they love Max, they growl and gnash their teeth at him when he leaves. That, and the completely unique style they are drawn in.
