Sydney lies on the coast of what is essentially a gigantic desert island. Today a red haze descended over the city thanks to a massive dust storm blown out to the shores of New South Whales.
Apart from smothering the city in dust and giving those with Asthma a hard time (Eshay!), the dust has given us some amazing photography.

These shots were taken as practice for the current Canon Photo5 photography competition. All of the shots were taken using the Bokeh method – with a cardboard aperture over the lens. Nothing at all has been done to the photos in post production! Take a look at those starry lights…

Incredible.
Animal-Affairs.com have put together a selection of photos looking into the foreign eyes of the animal kingdom. They look so wildly different but at the same time, familiar to our own (with the possible exception of the clam).

Water is truely astounding in the shapes and forms it creates. Clark Little is a brave Hawaiian-surf photographer. He gets out and in the rough to get some pretty amazing stills.

Halo is a project by French artist Aïssa Logerot that replaces tradition paint cans with LED “spraypaint”. Using slow exposure photography and the handheld LED can, you can imitate the technique and visual look of graffiti.

summer is saying goodbye! arrrr – I can only watch it from inside my dark office den which is a bit lame. BUT I am planning on taking some time off soon to just do nothing/something worthwhile. I am unclear about my plan right now.
